FYiR-steps
1. FYI-R request: A formal request is submitted to initiate the FYI-R process. It clarifies the purpose, scope, timeline, and expected outcomes, providing the initial context and criteria for success.

2. Research team activation:
The appropriate team is assembled and briefed. Roles are assigned, relevant expertise is matched to the request, and initial resources, data access, and protocols are prepared to ensure readiness.

3. First meeting:
Stakeholders and the research team align on objectives, deliverables, methods, and timelines. Assumptions are validated, risks and constraints are surfaced, and a shared plan of work is agreed.

4. Budgeting:
Resources are translated into a practical budget. This includes personnel effort, data/tools, travel or logistics, and contingency—balancing feasibility, value, and compliance with funding rules.

5. FYI-R in action:
The plan is executed. Research activities proceed with ongoing monitoring, interim check-ins, and iterative adjustments, culminating in deliverables and a synthesis of findings for decision-making.
