FYI-R SELECTED FOR THE SCIENTIFIC ADVICE MECHANISM CONFERENCEIN MAY 2025
We are proud to inform that EURYO’s project, Future Youth Information for Rural Areas – FYI-R, was selected to make a short presentation and participate in the ideas market at the Scientific Advice Mechanism to the European Union conference in Vienna, late next month.
The mechanism is a high-profile science advice structure to support the EU’s main policy decisions. FYI-R will be the only project representing the COST Association, picked by COST itself.
This conference, in collaboration with EURYO, initiates a collaborative and networked process that aims to promote improvements in the future lives of young people and their opportunities for employment and training in rural Spain. The study “Track-in: Public employment services tracking effectiveness in supporting rural NEETs” serves as a starting point and guide, from which to identify complexities, clarify them, and reflect on the aspects, contexts, or areas in which European projects aimed at young people, which on paper have a very noble objective, fail. This analysis allows for the design of new formulas and implementation systems that allow for a higher success rate.
These conferences are considered to address a cross-cutting issue and are promoted by various legislative committees with legislative influence on those areas relevant to a real improvement in the living conditions of young people, such as the Committee on Labor, Social Economy, Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration; the Committee on Children and Youth; the Committee on Education and Vocational Training; and the Committee on Science, Innovation, and Universities.
Next steps in our CIG Project “Future Youth Information for Rural areas (FYI-R)”
In the steps to develop our tool “Future Youth Information for Rural areas (FYI-R)”, the core group of EURYO went to Brussels to attend a training about Business Plan at COST Association.
There, we established the first step in converting our tool into a productive idea that can help the institutions and organizations that participate in or decide on rural youth.
Next steps coming soon with the first pilot to build, in co-creation with young people in Rural areas, the best tool to predict and help them in Education, Employment, Mobility, Social inclusion and more! Follow our social networks and subscribe to ournewsletter to know more about our projects.
Today we have officially started the COST INNOVATOR GRANT (CIG) Project, about Future Youth Information for Rural Areas, with the Kick-off and training meeting in Lisbon, from the 28th to 30th of January.
