FYiR Brussels Roadshow

For the past year, a network of members of the European Rural Youth Observatory (www.euryo.org), in collaboration with national and international youth associations and several rural stakeholders across 14 EU and non-EU countries, has developed the Future Youth Information for Rural Areas (FYI-R).

This initiative, funded by the European Commission through COST Association, has consisted of developing a foresight toolbox, based on locally collected data, to assist rural communities, pivotal stakeholders, and particularly decision-makers at all levels (from local to European) to develop informed, evidence-based policy actions or draft specific programs for rural youth generations (aged 15-29).

The FYI-R toolbox covers four specific dimensions: mobility, education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Its use can be tailored upon request and can also cover other dimensions, depending on specific needs. Its use and implementation at the national level is supported by trained national teams of EURYO members.

The first version of the FYI-R toolbox has now been released. To make sure this toolbox meets the needs of multiple stakeholders (from the local to the EU level) and rural young people, EURYO is running workshops and multiple consultations. Given your background and expertise, we would like to invite you to our international workshop in Brussels on the 22nd of October.
